McDonald’s just brought back its fan favorite McRib sandwich, but it’s only available in select locations at the moment, and for a limited time. The McRib is a 480-calorie menu item that is unlike any other McDonald’s sandwich in that it comes with a pork patty served on a hoagie style bun. Its uniqueness makes it memorable, but its taste is what makes it unforgettable.

The McRib sandwich features a pork patty slathered in tangy barbecue sauce, topped with silvered onions and tart pickles, all sandwiched between a hoagie style bun.

Although the McRib is low in calories, you can save even more calories and reduce carbs by skipping the bun entirely. The McRib may also be ordered without the sauce to further lower the carb content, but I would advise against it, because that’s where the flavor is.

With that said, let’s take a look at the McRib’s nutritional value.

McRib Nutritional Information

As mentioned above, the McRib sandwich has 480 calories, of which 200 are fat, 180 carbs, and 100 protein. This means that 42 percent of the calories come from fat, 38 percent from carbs, and 20 from protein.
