The Corn Dog, one of the most iconic food items in American cuisine, and also one of the most popular menu items at Sonic Drive-in, is not only one of the most affordable options on the menu but also one of the healthiest.

Below are the nutrition facts for Sonic’s famous hot dog. You know, the one that’s wrapped in a thick layer of sweet cornbread and batter-fried to perfection.

Sonic Drive-in regulars usually top their corn dogs with ketchup or mustard, or both. Just keep in mind that adding sauce to your corn dog will also add more calories to it.

The Oklahoma-based drive-in restaurant chain recommends pairing the corn dog with Tots and Ice Cream Slush.

It’s a good tip, but Sonic uses real fruits such as Strawberries and Pineapples to make their slushes. Which means they will add a lot of extra calories and carbs to your meal.

Including Tots and Ice Cream Slush will make your meal tastier and more filling though. But as we just mentioned, it will up the calorie count and make you gain extra pounds.
