Carl’s Jr. Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger

Carl’s Jr. looks to capitalize on the success of their Beyond Famous Star with Cheese Burger with the launch of the new Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger. The new menu item, which clocks in at 740 calories per sandwich, comes with a 100 percent plant-based patty that offers almost the same amount of protein as its beef counterpart, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger.

The Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger features a charbroiled 100 percent plant-based Beyond Burger with melted American cheese, two crispy onion rings, and tangy BBQ sauce, all on a toasted seeded bun.

The Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger contains 740 calories, 80 grams of carbohydrate, 6 grams of dietary fiber, 11 grams of saturated fat, 31 grams of protein, 16 grams of sugar, 15mg of cholesterol, and 1670mg of sodium.

Is Carl’s Jr. Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger Vegan?

No.

The Beyond BBQ Cheeseburger includes American cheese and onion rings which contain egg product and are not vegan.

But if you want a plant-based friendly build, you can request no onion rings or American cheese.

Allergens and Ingredients

Carl’s Jr. says Peas are legumes, so “people with allergies to legumes such as peanuts should be cautious when introducing pea protein into their diet because of the possibility of a pea allergy.” However, their products do not contain peanuts or tree nuts.
