McDonald’s Spicy BBQ Glazed Tenders

Spicy BBQ Glazed Tenders are now on the menu at McDonald’s along with the new Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich, which we covered previously. The new spicy tenders, which contain 580 calories per 4-piece serving, are made with all white meat chicken and are covered in the chain’s new smoky barbecue sauce, just like the chicken breast fillet that comes on the new spicy sandwich.

The spicy tenders also come in 6-piece and 10-piece orders, which have 870 and 1450 calories, respectively. I would avoid the 6-piece and the 10-piece spicy tenders at all costs. Not only do they contain an unhealthful amount of fat and carbs, but their sodium content is higher than the total recommended daily limit of 2,300 milligrams. As you may already know, high sodium intake can lead to hypertension, kidney failure, and risk of heart disease and stroke.

But it’s not all bad at least: they have a good amount of protein and no trans fats, however keep them to a minimum. We’re always preaching portion control, and in this case, it’s no different.

Spicy BBQ Glazed Tenders Nutritional Information

Each tender has 145 calories, of which 60 calories are from fat. That means that 42 percent of the calories in each chicken tender come from fat, 30 percent from carbs, and 28 percent from protein.
